Lee Shau Kee (Chinese: ???; Pinyin: Li Zhàoji, born January 29, 1928 in Shunde, Guangdong) is a property developer and majority owner of Henderson Land Development (HKSE:0012), a property conglomerate with interests in properties, hotels, town gas and internet services. He is currently the second wealthiest person in Hong Kong and Greater China Region, just after Li Ka Shing.
According to Forbes' list of billionaires as of 2007, Lee's wealth is estimated to be $17 billion, ranking him 22nd among the world's richest people.
Lee has gained a huge profit in Mainland-controlled stocks since 2006. With such considerable return on investment, he has nicknames of "Hong Kong's Buffett" (?????) or "Asia's Master of Stock" (????). He is still optimistic in Hong Kong Stock Market and particularly has good prospects on the future performance of Mainland real estate stocks. But he reminded investors to sell parts of stocks when Hang Seng Index reached 22,000 points, so as to prevent great losses in stock disaster.
